Sakura Zero won on competition again!

We've informed by two customers that they have won the competition with Sakura Zero

FF03-01 Aluminum Ball Differential for FF03Aluminum Ball Differential for FF03 is with special designed D shape pit for holding the differential plate, it is capable to minimize the chance of spinning that already proven by thousands tests on tracks. Made of 7075 Aluminum with surface hard coating which is stiff, durable and resistant to damage. It is first time to use 2.6mm screws and 2.6mm thrust ball bearing, which is capable to reduce the chance to break off and to optimize car performance. The loading capacity of this part is higher than the traditional 2.0mm screws. Come with 2.6T nut that made of steel.

FF03-03 Counter Gear 20T for FF03

Counter Gear 20T for FF03 is made of 7075 Aluminum with surface hard coating, which is more resistant to friction than the standard plastic part, lowering the chance of car damage.

FF03-05/LB Differential Ring for FF03This ring is designed for FF03, which is made of Aluminum with extreme stiffness. It can protect the differential, preventing it being deformed.

FF03-06/LB Front Upper Linkage Mount for FF03The part is used to link the bulkhead and the chassis, accelerating the strength of the joint position. It is made of Aluminum, which is harder and more durable than the standard plastic part. The sensibility and reaction are highly boosted when the mount is applied to the chassis. FF03-07/LB Motor Plate for Brushless Motor for FF03

The Motor Plate is designed for Brushless motor, it is with a heat loss pit for better air circulation, the added thickness motor plate also dedicated to boost the heat loss performance. If it is used with the standard cover, it can create seal effect which is able to prevent sand and dust intruding to motor when running.

FF03-08/LB Front Bulkhead Stiffener for FF03

Front Bulkhead Stiffener imitated real car water tank design with protection in the front of the car, 30mm fan is equipped at the top with rotational speed over 14000 times per minute. Heatsink is made by high quality Aluminum with unique heat loss pattern, the car can then always get the best result with good heat loss performance.

FF03-17 Rear Axles For FF03

This is Rear Axle designed for FF03, rings are no more needed to be used prior to attach the rear axle, making the set up more easy and simple. The part is made of 7075 Aluminum with surface hard coating, light-weighted and extreme hard.

FF03-19/LB Aluminum Oil Damper Set For FF03This is the Oil Damper Set designed for FF03 with surface hard coating, both sides of damper use 4.8mm ball design, which is applicable to most of the Tamiya series. 3Racing has released 1/10 EP Brake Disc Set which RC car now can perform like a real car. In order to get the ultimate realistic steering effect, 3Racing Brake can be additionally applied.

Brake disc is made of Aluminum which is hard and durable and there are 3 electroplated colors available. Come with 4 pieces 5X10 bearing and 4 pieces 5X8 bearing, also 0.1mm and 0.2 mm spacers. The part is applicable in any 5X10 bearing knuckle arm. If the bearing hole of either Front Steering Block or Rear Hub is 11mm, it is required to use 3Rac-AD12/V2E simultaneously.

3Racing is going to release new designed Narrow Chassis for SAKURA ZERO which is optimized for Lipo. The width of the chassis is narrowed to 83mm from the standard 106mm. The new part comes with 2 movable battery trays that allow drivers placing the battery with 5mm free range to attain perfect chassis balance.

The battery can be moved inward to the chassis if its weight is appropriate, so as to make the chassis narrower and effectively reduce the possibility to contact the ground surface during high speed cornering. Japan TENKATOUITSU competition - Hosting by RC Maganize

Recently we informed by our Japan customer that their racer using 3Racing F1-09 to won in F1 class and got the TQ in the competition which hosted by RC Magazine. And after the TENKATOUITSU competition, this racer has won in the Club competition which hosted by our customer again!!

Who is it? He's the Japanese racer - Mr. Shigeki Morishima!! Congratulations!!

According to our customer, the shopkeeper of "Rajikon Car Shop Miyazaki", Mr. Miyazaki mail, the racer of Team Bomber, Mr. Ryuji Kato and the racer of Team Extreme, Mr. Tomohiro Hirai also has joined to the F1 class competition. At the last moment, Mr. Morishima and Mr. Kato has a close race and Mr. Morishima has won the competition and TQ by very narrow margin at the end. Congratulation to Mr. Morishima!!

We through Mr. Miyazaki to contact with the winner, Mr. Morishima and we got the permittion form him to share his setting of F1-09 here!!

2) Gear Differential for SAKURA ZERO

New from 3 Racing is Gear Differential 37 T & 38T for SAKURA ZERO, it contains 6 plastic gears inside. Mechanical operation makes it much more durable than ball differential and roller differential. Drivers possessing this new part no more need to change worn and eroded differential frequently, which definitely suits competition grade drivers who always crave for rebuilding their chassis promptly in the pit.

Two outer differential joints are made of 7075 aluminium alloy with hard coating, which is extraordinary strong and sturdy. Appended 3mm differential cushion effectively hinders joints get damaged. For adjusting the smoothness and the speed of gear differential, silicon oil with varied viscocity can be applied.

Gear Differential 37T and 38T are workable with 3.5 T to 4.5T modified motors, it fits all car models if some right adjustments of the chassis are made.

3) Oil Damper Stand

Oil Damper Stand is one of the newest set up tools from 3Racing, it mainly used to measure the length of the damper and add silicon oil to it. A ruler is equipped to this new stand, users just need to put the ball ends to the holders of the stand, the length of dampers can be measured easily. There are also 8 holes in the stand, drivers can fill oil to 8 dampers at the same time, which is fast and tidy. The new tool is made of acrylic and aluminium alloy, transparent and archy, a must have item for drivers pursuing function and beauty.

Jordan Valley RC Circuit - Part 1

The new Jordan Valley Radio Control Circult is located on Kolwoon Jordan Valley Playground Phase 2 where was reservoir and government landfill and being idle before. Few years ago, government approved to build a RC circuit there in order to promote leisure and culture activities and it was planned to open for public this year. Prior to the opening of it, 3Racing was invited by Hong Kong Racing Model Club to try and test the circult, finding if there any defects and shortcoming. SAKURA ZERO is honoured to be the first car racing on the new track.

The circult can be divided in several parts:

1. Outdoor Circuit: it regarded Macua circult as construction reference and is approximately 120m X 60m in area. The track is wide and flat, using low level corners which won't make severe damge to cars even crashing.

2. Indoor Circuit: it is smaller in area that is about 20m X 20m. It offers a good place for freshmen to practise before competition, also it acts as a small racetrack as well.

3. Indoor Pit: it is spacious and neat. There are 8 large tables and 4 medium size tables, which could accommodate maximum 40 people at the same time and each of the driver is offered 2 electric power supplies. With the adequate lighting in the pit, racing at night is no more a problem.

4. Auditorium and Driver Stand: it used velarium design with glass surroundings which allows sunshine in, making the stage more open and bright. Also, the distance between it and the track is about 4 meters, which provides better eyesight for drivers who always keep moving their heads when driving cars in other small circults in Hong Kong.

5. Other supplementary facilities: the circult was also equipped with other facilities like drinking machines, toilets and carpark, also with jogging pathway and children playground nearby.

Jordan Valley Radio Control Circult, is surrounded by mountains which provides natural ventilation and creates a cool environment for drivers, it definitely attracts RC fanatics crowd into it right after official opening.

The Revolution Process of Sakura Zero

The emergence of M05 led me to pick up my passion towards RC car, I start to drive car again . One day, I met my old friends in TC Radio Control Car Track, we chatted and discussed a lot about global tendency of the chassis development, new models published and the competitions held recently, the re-union evoked my great enthusiasm, I thought that it is not enough to be trendy, but lead the trend myself.

Mr. Tireman, who is my friend already for 20 years, he told me that he wanted to rebuild his 1/10 Touring Car, I originally wanted to upgrade the performance of the chassis body for him only, but after I worked on it for few weeks, I was surprised that the half of the chassis has been rebuilt. Then we talked about the TITC competition in Thailand, a thought suddenly appeared in my mind that I can innovate an original 1/10 Touring Car and combine it with Team Powers gear to participate in TITC competition.

Then we started to get involved in the development of the chassis structure, we focused on mixing the advantages and improving the defects of the present available cars in the market.

The appearance of LI-PO battery was definitely a turning point to the Radio Control Car Market. SUB C battery will be substituted and the new chassis has to suit and fit with LI-PO battery, the weight proportion issue therefore is the main point of the design project.

Because of the performance of Brushless motor, the durability of the differential was a key problem needed to improve. In order to upgrade the powerful motive force, the differential balls are increased from 6 to 8, from 8 to 10, and now 12, the increase in number of it is to maximize the contact points, so as to make the car move smoothly and steadily, the chance of spinning is also be lessened.

For the purpose of attaining traction control to increase the number of differential balls, it is inevitable to widen the diameter of differential pulley. However, the enlarged diameter will be against with low CG requirement. Regarding to this problem, we consulted different experts and asked for their opinions. One of them, Mr. Racing Wu gave me a wonderful idea that using differential rolls to replace traditional differential balls. Since the structure of the regular differential is basically the same with the thrust bearing and there is roll system in thrust bearing which also need to bear the gravity, we decided to test the rolls trying to apply it in differential.

The elementary testing result was acceptable, but it needed certain time and money devoted to produce a real and applicable differential pulley to undergo a real test. I prefer to produce sample to test it, which made Mr. Racing Wu shocked and said I was crazy to do something that may just waste money. However, I insisted to do this so-called risky investment as I believe people never success without trial and error.

Sakura Zero Option Part- 7075 rear rolling differential system (RDSTM)

The caructure and the differential part was almost completed after over several weeks continuously design revision and production, the next step was to test the car. Our colleague, Miss Ethel suggested to use deep pink which is shine and attractive to be the theme color of the car, this color wasn't ever used in the market. It is unique as people either like it or hate it, which may in turn create noise and bring wide discussion by RC fans.

We expected to sell it in Japan starting from April which is also the Sakura blooming season in Japan, so we determined to use “Sakura” as the name of our first touring car.

Sakura Zero New Option Parts

Sakura Zero released from April-2010 with Sakura Zero series option parts. But there still have some option parts of Sakura Zero still not release to the market and we would to introduce to you at once!

1) Front One Way For Sakura Zero(SAK-59/PK)

To cater different user, we specially developed a front one way for Sakura Zero. Chasing for high speed or challenge of different tracks, you may need this new option parts.

2) Belt Tension Post For Sakura Zero(SAK-58/PK)

For improve the performance while car running, you should not miss this new option parts.

The belt tension post can makes the belt teeth mount tightly to the differential gear to avoid the belt come off. The acceleration of car can be improved by a stable 2 belt drive system.

This belt tension post also suitable for others carkit but end user should measure your assemble position before fabricate. For Sakura Zero, end user just need to assemble to the screw holes which already prepared on Sakura Zero original upper deck.

3) Dynamic Balance Station (DBS) - (SAK-015)

Before our website also has mentioned that the main develop point of Sakura Zero is weight balance. For weight balance of carkit, there should have some tool for helping you. We would like to introduce our new product, Dynamic Balance Station (DBS) - (SAK-015).

The Dynamic Balance Station (DBS) included a weight balance measurement.

The 2 pins of Dynamic Balance Station (DBS) is using for hunging the Sakura Zero. There has a hole prepared on the front and rear shock tower of Sakura Zero to match up this 2 pins.

Put the weight balance measurement horizontally or vertically for measure the weight balance. Place the weight balance measurement horizontally for measure the left and right weight balance and vertically for measure the front and rear weight balance. If the bubble of measurement is being center, then your carkit is on the perfect weight balance status.

And, we also decided to develop the shock tower for others carkit (e.g. shock tower for Tamiya 416 with holes) to match to use this Dymanic Balance Station (DBS). The new development of shock tower will make a hole on it for matching 2 pins of Dymanic Balance Station (DBS).
As the height of carkit are difference, we've designed 2 pins of Dymanic Balance Station can be adjustable. The position that indicated as below picture, it can be adjusting the height when you've hunged your carkit.
Once you've change your shock tower of your carkit series, anyone can be use this Dymanic Balance Station (DBS) to get the perfect weight balance of your carkit.

2010 New Motor Heatsink for Brushless Motor

We would to introduce our new products which developed on Jan-2010. The " Brushless Series " Heatsink - Brushless Motor Heatsink (with single/double cooling fan).

This new product is developed for 05 series motor. Different with all heatsink in the market, our new heatsink have a hole which can channelling the air into the heatsink for cooling down the surface of motor. And the rear cooling fan will lead the hot air of motor out at the same time. (Heatsink with double fan will have a front cooling fan to channelling more cold air into the hearsink and cool down the motor directly.) The operation of this new heatsink will make a single way of air floating to improve the cooling system.

For improving the cooling fan, we're not only focus on the shape design of heatsink. for the point of fixing the motor heatsink, we used the 3M heat dispersion tape. Using the feature of the heat dispersion tape for improving the cooling system and can be make the heatsink more lightly.

The connenting code of cooling fan has already hid inside the hearsink and we've released 5 colors for choosing.

We have an advantisment on March-2010 of RC Magainze and RC World that announced our Sakura Zero will join the TITC 2010. As TITC is a big RC race competition in the world, we didn't expect we can be win in TITC. But we're very happy that we got a well result which is over our anticipation!!

Nurnberg Toy Show

Hello~This is Ethel form 3Racing.

I've back to Hong Kong from the 7 days trip to Germany.

I'm so glad that I can been this toy show in Nurnberg. As the Nurnberg show is the biggest toy show in the world, all the famous toy makers have joined this show every year and showed their new products in booths. It's really an eye-opening experience for me in this show and also inspired my thinking. I also made some new friends in this trip.

Germany is a graceful place and structure is characteristic. There have so many classical church with exquisite embossment. it's just like a fort which is magnificent. When I was looking the map of the train with my boss, there was a German came and told us the train that we were finding. I can flet their kindness in this matter.

I also saw the famous maker of radio control in this show. We will be working hard same as our profession and hope the radio control will be more prospering.

And, I would like to thanks the boss of Toyeast, Mr. Steve. As his faultless arrangement was gave us a perfect trip.

Sakura Zero Testing

We've test the performance of Sakura on 16-Jan-10 at the Hong Kong RC racing Track. The length of the most straight of the RC racing track is 45 x 32m, it's enough for test the speed of Sakura Zero.

We used a 10.5 motor and 36 degree wheel, the setting of front and rear camber degree also is 1 degree. Front toe out 1 degree and rear toe in 3 degree. We also test the new design heat sink at the same time. So...let's see the result!!

After running, we knew the the steering performance was quite good!

The steering performance was good but a little mushy. Let's see the 2nd running test of Sakura Zero after setting again.
